A leading OEM in the PVC pipes and fittings industry, recognized for high-quality products and innovative solutions. The company operates an 80-machine injection moulding setup with a monthly output of 550-600 tons and is looking for an accomplished professional to lead this department efficiently with rigorous production planning, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Overview:

The Head of Injection Moulding Department will oversee production operations, drive operational excellence, and ensure top-quality output. The role involves managing large-scale production, spearheading new projects, and maintaining customer satisfaction while leading a skilled team across multiple plants.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:

- Plan and execute production schedules to achieve and exceed targets.

- Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and lower cycle times.

- Monitor and control costs, including tooling, indirect materials, and rejection rates.

- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing measures.

2. New Projects & Implementation:

- Oversee new machinery installations, mold trials, and troubleshooting.

- Drive product development for PVC, UPVC, and CPVC fittings.

- Ensure timely execution and smooth implementation of new processes and machinery.

3. Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction:

- Maintain stringent quality control to meet the highest standards.

- Address customer complaints effectively to ensure satisfaction and brand reputation.

- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with material and product specifications.

4. Maintenance & Tooling:

- Plan and execute preventive maintenance for machines and molds to minimize downtime.

- Oversee tooling activities to ensure readiness for production needs.

- Review MIS reports on production, breakdowns, and rejections to drive improvements.

5. Team Leadership & Training:

- Lead a team of supervisors and shop floor employees across plants.

- Provide training, mentorship, and motivation to enhance team performance.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory compliance during manufacturing processes.

- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 15+ years of experience in injection moulding operations with a proven track record in large-scale setups.

- Expertise in production planning, operational excellence, and troubleshooting.

- Strong knowledge of material compounding for PVC, UPVC, and CPVC fittings.

- Hands-on experience with SAP and production planning tools.

- Proficiency in implementing 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
