Position Summary :

- As the apparel designer and merchandiser, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, coordinating with vendors and sourcing raw material that is required for apparel products of Luxire. Your role will be to create an exciting and timely product assortment for our E-commerce platform.

- We are looking for someone who can use their fashion intuition to forecast, design and execute for the benefit of the company. You will be a part of Sourcing, Planning and Retail + Front End team to understand the customer's preference, brand's look and feel and product focus areas in order to develop a successful range.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Complete detailed design and tech packs with full technical specifications for product range as per range plan.

- Complete design requirements on a seasonal basis, hitting key due dates and follow updates.

- Conduct Seasonal Research on Fashion Trends and stay up-to-date with forecasted trends.

- Understanding the market and creating a range suitable to it.

- Review and sign off on all samples with consent from the production team, to ensure standardization throughout the assortment.

- Conduct and refine Fits for apparel with every season and customer survey/feedback sessions.

- Timely communication with vendors for fabric and trim sourcing to help the production run smoothly.

- Analyze & study(with retail & category team) weekly and monthly sales reports to constantly improve hit rate.

- Attend follow-up meetings for all products and manage workload accordingly.

- Preparing and monitoring various MIS related to Order Status, Actual vs projects, Status of Shipments.

- Meeting notes follow up

- Opportunity grid update biweekly, dispatch plan update and PBT sheet review New product development

- Managing a team of Apparel Designers cum Merchanders

Should Have :

- Outstanding taste and overall eye for design in the field of Fashion.

- Must have handled a team

- Ability to map Fashion trends and have extensive knowledge about changing market trends in apparel brands and trends, especially international.

- Ability to work well within a team to create the best product that is customer-focused.

- Ability to respond to business objectives with creative and innovative design solutions.

- Must have a keen eye for detail with excellent creative & aesthetic skill.

- Technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

- Ability to design as per budget without compromising on quality.

- Strong Computer skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel.

- Strong Technical Skills: ability to generate full technical specs to be sent to vendors for production.

- Clear communication with vendors for timely sourcing.
