1. Responsible for process improvement efforts aimed at reducing loss

2. Provides hands on process and equipment support

3. Develop plant process improvement programs that improve consistency and control of current manufacturing processes (SOP- s)

4. Investigations of new methods to improve plant performance including equipment, statistical tools, troubleshooting methods etc.

5. Determines priorities with the Plants, implements assigned projects and maintains detailed documentation as required.

6. Stays informed concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment, and investigates their potential application.

7. Develop subordinates through education, training, and teamwork.

8. Hire, train, direct and mentor staff and all plant employees with diverse language, cultural and educational background.

9. Utilize technical tools to reduce scrap, to analyze capacity, to improve throughput, and to enhance overall process efficiencies and profitability.

10. Perform validations for process or efficiency improvements as major changes are implemented. Initiate revised standard operating procedures based on changes, and ensure implementation. Provide operator training as necessary.

11. Initiate, coordinate, and manage any equipment or material trials required for analysis. Coordinate trial schedules with planning.

12. Support quality initiatives to ensure product meets or exceeds customer expectations.

13. Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction.

14. Identify, propose, and implement capital projects to improve operational performance.

15. Coordinate with PET manager of plant for equipment maintenance and repair. Support machine installation or removal as needed.
