Area Manager - eCommerce Operations - Startup (3-7 yrs)

We are hiring for area manager for one of the e commerce start up they are unto delivery of milk and groceries

Job Description:

1. To ensure smooth and SOP compliant functioning of Warehouse and Last Mile operations in the allotted area within the City.

2. Area Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of 300+ executives and TLs and is incharge of customer experience and operational cost metrics

The role would require the candidate to perform the following tasks:

1. Customer Experience:

a. Ensure adherence to the Service Level Agreements as informed to the customer

b. Work towards continuous improvement for serving all customers within the stated service delivery times

2. Manpower Management:

a. Lead a large fleet of delivery executives and warehousing employees across the area and warrant an efficient and healthy work environment

b. Onboard and train TLs ensure that they follow the required guidelines while performing different tasks

c. Manage on boarding and training of Delivery Executives and Sorters through TLs

d. Ensure prompt responses to queries /concerns raised by the TLs and Delivery Executives thereby clearing doubts/ apprehensions if any

e. Monitor the performance metrics of reporters and take necessary actions to improve the same

3. Process and compliance:

a. Implement contingency plans to counter any lapses in the regular workflow/timelines to avoid escalations

b. Ensure compliance in hub operations and logistics

c. Ensuring availability of adequate fleet and/or build the fleet to meet the demand

Desired Candidature:

1. Graduate by education

2. Prior experience in logistics industry with extensive people management exposure

3. Should be comfortable working with MS excel. Should be able to investigate for root causes on complaints and other issues occuring in day to day operations

4. Customer first attitude
