Role Description :

Job Purpose :

This position plays key role in execution of electrical maintenance planning & execution which includes predictive, preventive & reliability cantered maintenance. He /She will also be responsible for monitoring of power & fuel consumption & energy conservation activities for entire plant. He / She also work very closely on procurement of spares, services & consumables. He / She will also be responsible for implementation and adherence of safety management system, Quality management system & environment management system. He / She will be required to play supportive role in execution of capexes.

Primary Responsibilities :

Business Responsibility Areas : (Please detail out at least 8-10 responsibility areas)

Ensure adherence to Asian Paints Quality System in the respective work areas such as :

- Asset care: Execution of Preventive, predictive and reliability cantered maintenance of Transformer, Motor, VFD, 33 kv/11 kv Switchgear, PCC, MCC, Utility system, Solar power plant, DG Set, Lighting system, Crane, Hoist with team, Planning of yearly maintenance and shutdown, focused improvements etc.

- Capex : Purchase, installation & Commissioning & reconciliation.

- Purchase : Purchase of Engineering spares, consumables & services like Annual Maintenance Contract, Annual Rate contract etc. Assessment of new vendors, evaluation of existing vendors.

- Cost Control : Supporting for preparation of Annual Budget for Revenue expenditure such - Stores, Spares, Repairs- and - Power & Fuel- for entire plant and establish control mechanism

- Liasoning / Networking with Statutory bodies such as Electrical Inspector, Local Industrial Development Corporation, State Electricity Board, PWD etc.

- Work in close coordination with other stakeholders / cross functional members to meet organizational business objectives and to mitigate business risk in the areas of Productivity, Statutes, Quality, Safety and Environment.

- Ensure work place hygiene through - Employee Relationship & effective control- & - Customer centricity- with respect to Asian Paints context, Adherence to planned schedule and Plan compliance for preventive, Predictive maintenance

- Implement capex / projects within committed time line, cost and quality

- Zero Commercial Noncompliance in Purchase & Store

- Zero calibration non compliance

- Ensure plant uptime more than 99%.

- Zero statutory non compliance

- Better workplace Hygiene

- People Management Scope (Range of no. of Direct/ Indirect Reports):Direct Reports: Total number of Senior Officer in the department is 2.

- Indirect Reports : Total Number in the department is as follows :

- Sr. Officers - 4 to 6, Officers - 10 to 12, technicians - 40-50, Contractor - 50 to 60

Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ State-wide / Area-wide) :

- North India : Kasna (UP) & Rohtak (Haryana)

- West India : Bhandup (Mumbai), Khandala (Maharashtra) & Ankleshwar (Gujarat)

- South India : Sriperumbudur (Chennai), Patancheru ( Hyderabad)

Role Requirements / Specifications :

Qualifications Essential :

- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from top ranked engineering institution of India (preferably form NIITs with good academic track record.

Desired :

- Energy manager / Energy Auditor certification

Previous Experience :

Essential :

- 6 to 9 years experience in case graduate from NIITs or other reputed engineering collage.

- Should have experience in Engineering function in industries like chemical/FMCG/petrochemical Industry having exposure in

- Execution of capex Projects, especially in designing & finalizing electrical set up for a Greenfield projects.

- Maintenance of Plant having connected load more than 10 MW.

- Asset care with respect to utilities, power generation, plant & machinery.

- Statutory compliance as per electricity acts & rules wrt capexes & plant maintenance.

- Energy conservation.

Desired :

- Exposure to other fields of Engineering such as Instrumentation & Mechanical Engineering

Functional Competencies :

- Knowledge of Cost of operation, Overheads, Establish Budgetary system and Control to monitor cost, up to date with relevant statutory requirements

- Negotiation skill

- Planning and coordination with multiple interfaces for meeting the requirements.
