Assistant General Manager/Head - Production - FMCG

Must Haves: Should know Kannada efficiently (Read/Write/Speak)

Experience in Edible oil industry with TQM, Lean Management etc is a Must

Qualification: Engineering

Job Responsibilities :

A) Productivity: To ensure targeted production in oil refinery, quality of refined oil and finished products, plant availability, consumption of raw materials and achieve high operating efficiency. Planning for target production of the refinery, through:

- To achieve production target of refinery as fixed by the Company.

- Preparing daily / monthly production plan in consultation with Unit Head.

- Monitoring stock and take timely action for rising purchase requisition for procurement of materials for refinery.

- Action on feedback from section in charge requiring deviation or variation of production, raw material consumption etc.

- Planning shutdown and start up activities.

- Planning and budgeting for both refinery.

B) Quality: Ensure process parameters to produce quality product on consistent basis through:

- To monitor quality result for both process and product day-to-day basis and give feedback for any parameters changes in terms of refined oil.

- Coordinate with quality control department to optimize process.

- Ensure for any non-confirming product to take corrective action.

- Monitor and review quality procedures

- Planning recycling of non-conformity product

C) Cost Effectiveness: To optimum utilization of materials and utilities, updation of technology, process development to reduce manufacturing cost

Monitoring consumption norms daily basis and take action plan for deviation

Preparing process loss mapping and identify potential areas to reduce losses.

Monitoring and control purchase and work orders.

Coordinate with Unit Head to implement improvement project.

D) Safety and Environment

- Identify the safety related training needs.

- Create safety / environment awareness.

E) People Development

- Manpower planning/induction

- Setting individual goals in line with department & organization goal

- Performance review and identification of training need and evaluation

- Ensure implementation of HR & Personnel Policies

- Recommendation for Reward/ Recognition

- Maintaining shop floor discipline

- Counselling and grievance redressing

F) Statutory Management

Coordinate and ensure statutory compliance with respect to factories, boiler, electrical & explosive inspectorates, ensure operation and maintenance of plant as per pollution and environmental requirements in the capacity of Factory Manager.

- Monitors compliance by concerned departments

- Liaises with HRD dept., for co-ordination with Government Depts. for obtaining approvals.

- Monitor and guide implementation of suggestions to control pollution and protect environment
