Assistant Manager/Manager- Chassis/Steering System Design & Development (3-8 yrs)
- End to end steering system design experience
- This role Designs, develops, and validates vehicle steering components and systems
- Strong CAD ( UG-NX, CATIA, ) skills,
- Should have knowledge of manufacturing (casting, sheet metal), GD&T, DFMEA, and vehicle dynamics, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers for concept to production, ensuring performance, safety (ISO 26262), and cost targets are met
Key Responsibilities :
1. Design & Development: Create end to end design for steering systems, subframes, and chassis aggregates.
2. Technical Analysis: Perform tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, system simulations, and packaging studies.
3. Validation & Testing: Define and execute validation plans (bench, vehicle, durability), analyze test data, and ensure functional requirements.
4. Collaboration: Work with CFTs (ADAS, Vehicle Integration, Testing, SCM, Production) and suppliers.
5. Documentation: Manage BOMs, PLM data, technical documentation, and design reviews.
Innovation: Contribute to new technologies like steer-by-wire and electromobility.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Mechanical/automobile Engineering degree from either IIT or NIT (NIRF top 20 colleges)
CAD : UG NX CATIA, Creo, proficiency.
Automotive Knowledge: Steering systems (EPS, Hydraulic), vehicle dynamics, manufacturing (casting, forging, sheet metal).
Standards: GD&T, APQP, DFMEA, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
Soft Skills: Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, project management
