Job Description :

- Active involvement in QA / QC activities right from review and approval of project QAP / ITP, Material inspection, WPS / PQR qualification and Approval, Welder Qualification (WQT & WPQ) for various materials in accordance with the WPS/ASME Sec IX Standard, NDE Procedures, Hydro / Pneumatic test Procedures, review Mill / Material Test Certificates and managing Quality Documents and Final inspection Reports.

- Preparation, issuance and maintenance of Non Conformance Report (NCR), Quick correction action report (RQCA), Observation Notes and Site Queries as per ISO 9001 quality control system and company standards.

- Should have thorough knowledge and experience to Review & Witnessing of NDT such as Radiography test (Interpretation), Penetration test report and Magnetic particle test of weld joints.

- Conduct training to the subcontractors engineer/staff and technicians related to QC activities, inspection, Heat treatment, Documentation etc.

- Auditing the consumables record and inspection documents, Reviewing Material Test Certificate

- Developing vendors for defect-free products in a shorter time

- Inspection of items for Power plant specifically ESP packages

- Checking items for ESP Fabricated items (like Support Structure, Casing, Hopper, Nozzle, Roof, Duct), ESP Internals, Expansion Joints and Insulator.

- Witnessing pre-heating and post- weld heat treatment as per the specification requirements & as well as verification of heat treatment chart

- Witnessing NDT Inspection like DPT, MPI, UT, RT, KT & PMI etc during fabrication and Erection.

- Performing welding inspections with approved packages by verifying the materials as per spec, choosing the right welding technique, performing the inspection required and furnishing reports

- Steering internal & external visual inspection of Pressure Parts & Structural Fabricated items.

- Qualify PQR & welders as per approved WPS

- Interpreting Radiography film of different types of casting and welding jobs

- Measuring surface profile of material after cleaning.

- Executing WFT & DFT after painting of the material.

- Conducting inspection of Casting, Machining & Forging items
