3) Background
i) Educational Qualification :
Essential : B.E/B. Tech Mechanical Engg from reputed University / Institute
- Minimum 60 % marks :
- Should have been consistent & secured good percentage throughout academics (SSC, HSC, Diploma, Graduation etc)

Maximum : 4 Year(s)

4) Job Role & Responsibilities
Role : Transmission Design Engineer
- Gear Ratio selection, Tractive effort diagram, Saw tooth curve, power reserve curve, vehicle acceleration curves in MATLAB, Gear macro and micro geometry analysis along with complete gearbox in Romax / KissSoft, Gearbox center distance optimization.
- CAM Chain, guide, Sprocket & tensioner design, worm gear design, understanding of bearing types, sizes & selection, gear cutting tool commonisation.
- Knowledge on different gear materials & Heat Treatment Processes, Gears & shaft manufacturing processes. Understanding on Component level Tests and Gearbox Validations.
- Application and knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, Design guidelines & relevant experience of working on quality issues related to transmission parts.
Technical/ Functional :
- Hands on Experience on Romax software / Kiss Soft for gearbox design,
- Excellent analytical skill for data interpretation & advance use of Excel,
- Understanding of Finite Element & NVH Analysis for transmission parts,
- Should possess excellent presentation skill,
- Experienced in Application of GD&T, DFS, DFM, Quality documents like DVP, DRBFM, DFMEA, DRS, Design Guidelines.
