Job Description :
(Transport) Operation Manager.
- Strong intuition in long haul surface transportation
- Transport vendor relationships in the location
- Operations experience of around 5-10 years in a leading logistics company
- Experience of managing large teams of size 20-30 people
What you will do :
- Transport operations - Ensuring tightly managed transport operations ensuring on time vehicle placement, loading and dispatch
- Vendor identification and grooming - Identify new vendors and groom them to become loyal long term partners
- Vendor management - Track transport performance across cost, reliability and speed and work with vendor partners to continuously improve
- People management - Build and manage the team to manage transport operations for the TC
