Assistant Purchase Manager - Manufacturing Operations (10-11 yrs)
Job Description :
Education Qualification - BCOM/MCOM/DME with 10 - 12 years of experience in purchase functions in manufacturing industry (Handling Machine Shop & Foundry related Purchase requirements).
Job Description :
1.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for materials, components, and services.
2. Conduct supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
3. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements in terms of pricing, lead times, and payment terms.
4. Draft and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers.
5. Generate purchase orders based on production requirements and ensure timely placement with suppliers.
6. Monitor and track orders to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues that may arise.
7. Address and resolve any supplier performance issues through effective communication and problem-solving.
Skills/Competencies :
1.Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the mechanical engineering/manufacturing industry.
2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
3. Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
4. Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for procurement.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct cost analysis and make data-driven decisions.
