About the job

The Procurement Associate Director/Director sourcing and acquiring necessary materials, equipment, including construction, renovation, or maintenance, by identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Researching and identifying qualified vendors for infrastructure components like building materials, electrical systems, HVAC units.

- Specialized equipment based on technical requirements and price competitiveness.

- Developing and negotiating contract terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, quality standards, and warranty provisions.

- Designing sourcing strategies for different infrastructure categories, considering market trends, cost optimization, and risk management.

- Preparing and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids, and selecting the most suitable vendors based on technical capabilities and pricing.

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring. performance metrics, and addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

- Analyzing procurement costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing budget constraints throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensuring adherence to all relevant procurement policies, regulations, and legal requirements.

- Collaborating with project teams, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify procurement needs, and communicate procurement updates.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

- Solid analytical and computer skills

- Strong communication skills

- Outstanding team building and leadership skills

- B.tech in Civil Engineering is must

- Minimum 12-15 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience

- Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance

- Experience with sourcing and procurement and building a vendor program
