JOB DESCRIPTION :

- Interaction with customers and understanding Functional safety requirements of customers.

- Estimation of efforts for work products

- Preparation of execution plan.

- Identification of risks.

- Contributing to Functional safety work products and reviewing them before sending to customer.

- Taking complete responsibility of deliverables to customer.

- Managing the team.

- Achieving first time right and seeking maximum clarity from customer as well as team.

- Interaction with cross functional teams to gather necessary information

- Time management to complete work in time.

- Meeting customer's expectations and assertively negotiate where required for time or efforts.

- Creation of functional safety libraries for various products.

Required Experience/Skills :

- Strong work experience (5 - 10 years) in system engineering, electrical hardware engineering, or software engineering in Automotive industry.

- Hands-on FuSa delivery 5+ for safety critical systems minimum ASIL-B, preferably ASIL-C/D

- Experience with automotive electrical or electronics products and their controls

- Strong Understanding of ISO26262

- Experience on Functional safety concept, Technical safety concept

- Experience on Hardware / Software safety requirements derivation

- Knowledge of ASIL decomposition

- Experience on work products of ISO26262, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 / Part 6, Part 7, Part 8.

- Knowledge of Part 9, Part 10.

- Vehicle level experience is desirable.

- Experience with safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, DFA, FMEDA )

- Reliability engineering knowledge a plus.

- Experience in developing technical processes, procedures, guidelines, and templates a plus.

- Good communication skills; ability to explain concepts to other engineers.

- Training skills for technical processes.

- Established work practice along with distributed design teams

- Substantial supplier/OEM management experience

- Worked on Automotive domain with system/Software/hardware experience.

- Should have worked with safety related systems based on standards like ISO26262/IEC61508 etc.
