JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY

- Automotive Lighting Design and development Engineer - Gurgaon Location

- Design and development of automotive exterior lighting components, including headlamps, tail lamps, and signal lamps with Halogen and LED technology.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including styling, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality to ensure seamless integration of lighting components into vehicle design.

- Oversee the validation and testing of lighting components to ensure they meet all performance, safety, regulatory, and company standards.

- Analyse and resolve engineering Quality issues related to exterior lighting, using basic problem-solving techniques and tools (5W1H, 5WWHY, FTA, DFMEA, DRBFM)

- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, validation plans, and test reports.

- Ability to manage project timelines,

- Ability to manage budgets related to lamp engineering activities.

- Ability to analyse and interpret technical data and reports shared by vendors.

- Should be able to evaluate supplier proposals and provide technical recommendations.

COMPETENCY REQUIRMENTS

Technical/Functional

- Hands On Experience on Design & development in any project from the Exterior Lighting domain.

- Experience with CAD software for design and engineering (e.g., CATIA, UGNX).

- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive lighting.

- Working knowledge of Automotive lighting design life cycle, manufacturing and process, regulatory requirements, interface, application, testing and integration, DFMEA & Change management.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in halogen and LED lighting technology, as well as emerging technologies in the automotive lighting industry.

- Ability to negotiate with Suppliers on Technical implementation, Costs & Schedule monitoring.

- Experience in Value engineering and weight reduction is an added advantage

- Eagerness for learning & confident attitude.

- No issues in working at Rohtak/ Gurgaon Location.

- Willingness to travel as needed for supplier visits, testing, overseas trainings and other project-related activities.

Basic Knowledge (All are essential in given list)

- Proficient in using Design Softwares (UGNX / Catia etc.) & MS Office Tools (Excel, Power Point etc.)

- Ability to work with cross functional teams to achieve goal
