Job Responsibility & Accountability (Key Roles, functions & accountability):

- Responsible for all aspects of laboratory operations, including adherence to the management system. It also includes assuring compliance to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and specific requirements of NABL, BIS, etc.

- Responsible for entire operation in the section.

- Maintenance of Quality and Technical Documents of the section as per the regulatory requirement.

- Should hands on experience in handling the test equipments like climatic chambers & material testing equipments

- Should be aware of reliability test requirements in automotive field.

- Responsible for execution of reliability testing requirements like thermal shock testing, ESS, corrosion testing, climate tests and light fastness testing

- Should have knowledge of Polymer Testing (MFI, Tensile, Flexural, VST, HDT, Impact test Izod & Charpy, Fogging, Scratch, density etc)

- Managing TAT / Deliverables of samples / projects.

- Responsible for the maintenance, calibration and intermediate checks of the instruments.

- Responsible for indenting, receipt, inspection and storage of CRMs and other consumables.

- Identifying the training needs, training the technicians & new recruits.

- Verifying the test results & data and Test Reports.

- Preparation of Testing Procedures and Operation Procedures.

- Responsible for procuring and updating the relevant Standard Test Methods.

- Responsible for method validation and calculating Uncertainty measurement.

- Carrying out specific tasks/additional responsibilities as and when allotted /assigned.

- Responsible for the safety aspects of the lab apart from the regular work.

Required Skills & Qualification:

- 6+ years relevant experience in reliability / material / component testing.

- 3+ years relevant experience in automotive component testing.

- Experience in development of new test lab set up & test methods will be preferred.

- Proven record of analyzing processes & workflows, assessing their efficacy, relating to business plans & goals and suggesting re-engineering / simplification solutions.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
