About the Role:

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all Production related activities with respect to coating and Finishing areas in the plant in terms of Productivity, Quality, service, safety and employee relations.

The incumbent shall be responsible for meeting customer expectations, manage all internal and external stakeholders, align the team towards these expectations and drive employee engagement.

Responsibilities:

- Set Production targets and ensure compliance to the same in order to meet the customer requirements.

- Set objectives, provide direction and support his team to deliver world class performance in terms of service, quality, cost, safety, inventory accuracy and productivity .

- Support the Plant manager in developing an operational strategy for the plant.

- Ensure good manufacturing practices are in place; anticipate and manage through adversity, effectively incorporate improvement programs into the culture of the Plant.

- Practice all environment, health and safety procedures and make safety a top priority.

- Drive continuous improvement to optimize cost and productivity improvements.

- Understand and implement ISO procedures and ensure continual compliance to the requirements of the standards in the production department,

- Work along with the Plant Manager to Develop & action Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for assigned area and confirm linkage to global business strategies.

- Work with cross functional team like supply chain, finance, sales and marketing, quality to deliver plant performance

- Work with HR to build a positive employee relations & industrial relations culture

Employee development and Management Responsibilities:

- Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed to attract, retain and develop high potential talent.

- Model and promote the Corporation's Code of Business Ethics and Values.

- Act as a team role model and change-agent.

- Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.

- Support developing organizational culture that fosters continuous improvement.

Minimum Education and Years of Relevant Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Production..

- 8-10 year's successful multi-functional Operations experience including management and employee development.

- Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.

- Experience in web handling, winding, coating, lamination slitting and continuous manufacturing process would be preferred

- Skilled in leading significant multi-functional or business project initiatives, scheduling and planning.

- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within manufacturing environment.

- Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution.

- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing individuals and teams.

- Operational knowledge of the applicable systems.

- Strong financial and business acumen.

- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

- Excellent teamwork, leadership, relationship building, mentoring, training and project management experience and skills.
