Bourns - Application Engineer - Protection Products (5-10 yrs)
JD : Position Overview:
Bourns is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Application Engineer to support our Protection Products division. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with cross-functional collaboration to enable successful product deployment, enhance customer experience, and support marketing and sales initiatives. The position will work across a range of Bourns products, including protection products, semi products, resistors, MOVs, and diodes.
Work Location: South Bengaluru
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical application or design support role, preferably with protection products, semi products, resistors, MOVs, or diodes.
- Hands-on experience with reference designs, circuit analysis, and system-level application of electronic components.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, marketing, and sales teams.
- Ability to travel for customer engagements, training, and trade shows as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of TVS diodes, fuses, varistors, and other protection components.
- Very good organisational and communication skills
- Experience in creating technical collateral such as datasheets, design guides, or evaluation kits.
- Familiarity with PCB layout and simulation tools.
