Bridge Design Engineer - Roads/Highway Construction (3-8 yrs)
Job Description :
- Complete analysis and design of all components of various type of Highway Structures like Culverts, Bridges, ROB, RUB, Retaining Wall, Guide Bundh, Drains.
- Carry out Hydraulic study where required.
- To prepare inventory and carrying out condition survey for Bridges, Flyover, Grade separated structures, ROB/RUB, Culverts etc.
- To prepare detail proposal for widening and strengthening of the structures.
- To co-ordinate activities between field and office.
- To prepare a design standard, technical specification and finalize list of drawing with the use of Auto CAD department.
- Preparation of Improvement Proposals, Designs drawing production.
- To carryout BOQ Cost estimate for different type of structures.
- Report preparation including plans, specifications, and estimates
- Participation in meetings with clients and project team members
- Quality review of structural calculations and contract documents
- Slope Stability Analysis for High Embankments.
- Seismic and Wind load calculations and analysis
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities
Key Requirements :
Qualifications :
- B.Tech (Civil)/ M.Tech (Structure) with 3+ years of experience in Bridge Designing Work.
- Should have experience in Highway/ Bridge DPR projects.
Experience :
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- Experience of working on National/State Road Projects.
- Thorough understanding of Indian road congress(IRC) codes and Manuals, acquaingtance with latest amendments
Skills :
- Knowledge of Codes and Standards - loads, load paths and design
- Train and supervise Bridge Designer Engineers,
- Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/management,
- Innovative, result oriented, provide ideas and work on them
- General knowledge of construction techniques and practices & construction management
- Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialist and Discipline leads across the globe
- Flexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and pro-active attitude to execution/delivery
- Knowledge of softwares like Staad Pro, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, MS Excel etc.
