Business Head - New Product Development - Auto Industry (13-18 yrs)
- New Supplier exploration, evaluation and selection
- Process design finalization for sheet metal, polymer & elastomer, Non-Ferrous casting parts
- Tooling cost settlement for NPD BOPs/Assembly/Production aids
- Part cost settlement for NPD BOPs and timely settlement
- Tool design evaluation.
- Blanket PO release after process actualization/ stabilization.
- Technical specification review with CFT for new development.
- Monitor NPD to ensure timeline and cost.
- Participate as CPD coordinator with CFT during regular NPD reviews
- Monthly MIS for above activities
- Jigs/Fixtures/Autonomous Test Fixtures Concept development
- Initial Process capability assessment of New Suppliers
Key Competencies Required :
- Hands on experience on Costing of commodities like Sheet Metal, Plastic, PDC, Rubber
- Knowledge of Engineering and manufacturing processes of sheet metal, casting, plastic, rubber, electronic parts.
- New Product Development
- Knowledge of Process Tools, Molds, Jigs & Fixtures is essential
- New Supplier Evaluation (3P Method)
- Should have strong Problem- solving skills and attention to detail are essential
- Attitude to work in challenging environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP/ PPA processes.
- Negotiation, Persuasion, and Communication.
- Basic knowledge of Accelerated Stress techniques, Material and Manufacturing Standards (ASTM, DIN, JIS, IS & GOST etc.)
