Qualifications : Technical & or Professional

- Master of engineering (ME) or Technology (MTech) in Machine design with strong educational track record. (Minimum of 60% of marks throughout)

- Preferably specialization in Mechanical/Structures/Applied mechanics/Thermal engineering.

Job Role :

- Detailed understanding of application & Perform FEM analysis of Automotive Powertrain components & systems using FEM tools like Abaqus-CAE.

- Perform static & cyclic fatigue strength assessment of metals, alloys and polymers using various codes or guidelines (like FKM, VDI etc) and specifications.

- Perform detailed thermo-mechanical analysis, modal analysis using simulation tools for application loads or life and perform strength assessment using FEM tools.

- Validation of results with close co-operation with Product Design, Testing and Materials departments.

- Apply and develop advanced engineering analysis procedures and design verification plans (DVP- s) for existing and future products to achieve the local capability for the virtual verification.

- Should be Liaison with Product Development & Application Engineers to support for new product development or improvement in existing designs.

- Generate technical reports and participate in design reviews.

- To be up-to date with the latest technologies in CAE/FEA, Analysis of E-Motor, elecrto magnetic field will be added advantage.

Specific Job knowledge/Skills/Specialization :

Job experience :

- Hands on experience in CAE/FEA driven product development of Automotive using FEM tools like Abaqus, Ansys, Hypermesh and Nastran.

- Good Knowledge of bearing calculations, their applications and tribology will be an added advantage.

- Experience in working with R&D divisions of Automotive/Industrial OEM- S or Tier-1 suppliers.

- Proficient in engineering calculations, product design guidelines and fatigue calculations.

- Knowledge of Automotive Engine & Transmission components and systems

- Good in presentation and spoken & written communication skills in English
