Required Experience:

10+ years of proven experience with reputed organization (MNC, Consulting Organizations, Corporate having a sizeable carbon credit portfolio) handling validation, registration and verification of carbon credit projects under various mechanisms

Detailed knowledge of all the rules and regulations of the prevalent and upcoming carbon credit mechanisms including Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Gold Standard (GS), VERRA (VCS), Global Climate Council (GCC) etc.

Thorough knowledge of the legalities and other nuances of the international treaties/agreements for carbon offset market including Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement etc.

Management and leadership skills to guide the team members to ensure that periodic plans for validation and verification assignments are strictly adhered to

Knack of developing unique solutions to the problems and queries faced during the process of validation and verification of the projects

Knowledge of Renewable Energy/Power Sector and the essential rules and regulations mandating these sectors

Educational Qualification:

Master's degree in Energy/Environmental studies/Allied Domains

Basic qualification should be B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Environmental Sciences/Energy Studies.

Additional Expectations:

Good skills in Articulation and Report Writing

Willingness to travel to project sites for validation, verification and joint visits with officials of clients/regulatory bodies will be mandatory

High level of proficiency in English Language, both written and oral communication

Good presentation skills
