Location : Bangalore, Full Time

Qualification : BE / M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 6 - 10 Year

Position Overview:

This role is one of the senior members in the Design team for Graver Technologies. The role is to execute the engineering activities such as detailed design, design calculations, Tolerance stack ups, manufacturing drawings. The selected candidate will be responsible for quality of deliverables and for managing time and cost of all the projects executed.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

- Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

- Manage and mentor a team of design engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the product development process.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.

- Provide extensive support to the customers, by assisting in preparing detailed responses to Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and conducting engineering calculations and designs.

- Work closely with the customer to understand their specific needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.

- Engage in the process of requesting and obtaining competitive quotes for both Code and Non-Code housings from various suppliers.

- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and implement design enhancements based on feedback and data analysis.

- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design engineering.

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical major

- Experience in Mechanical product design at system or sub-system level in the Water treatment equipment industry.

- Hands on experience in design Code and Non-Code calculations.

- Excellent understanding of materials, processes and finishing operations.

- Expertise in SolidWorks software. Experience with SolidWorks PDM, Routing, and Simulation add-ins is an added advantage.

- Excellent understanding of materials, processes and finishing operations.

- Exposure in GD&T, Tolerance stack up, DFMEA and Concept Selection Metrics.

- Exposure to manufacturing environment.

- Experience in prototyping and testing such as product performance tests, reliability tests, etc.

- A deep understanding of fabrications, piping, industrial structures, pressure vessel, tanks, valves, pumps used in water treatment equipment is a must.

- Expertise in SolidWorks software. Experience with SolidWorks PDM, Routing, and Simulation add-ins is an added advantage.

- Ability to plan, co-ordinate and execute tasks (new development, product improvement, basics of cost estimating, BOM management, value engineering, analysis, etc.)

- Prior experience/exposure to working in a global engineering environment involving interactions & travel to other locations, including multi-continent reporting and engineering collaboration.

- Knowledge and experience of - technical writing- is an added advantage.

- Develop customized packaging solutions that ensure safe and secure transportation of housing products to customers.

- Consider factors such as product size, weight, fragility, and shipping requirements to design packaging that optimally protects the housing during transit.
