Hiring Ceramic Engineer for Refractory Company in Vizag.

Position: Ceramic Engineer

Location: Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Andhra Pradesh

Industry: Refractory Manufacturing

Experience: 3 - 5 Years (Freshers with strong academic background may also apply)

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech in Ceramic Engineering / Materials Science / Metallurgy

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Ceramic Engineers to join Refractory team in Vizag. The candidate will play a key role in product development, process optimization, and quality control of refractory products used in high-temperature industrial applications such as steel, cement, and power industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Design, develop, and test refractory materials and ceramic products for high-temperature applications.

2) Optimize manufacturing processes including raw material selection, batching, mixing, forming, drying, and firing.

3) Work closely with the R\&D and production teams for new product development and process improvements.

4) Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product defects or failures.

5) Monitor quality control parameters and ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.

6) Support installation and performance monitoring of refractory linings at client sites.

7) Prepare technical documentation including SOPs, test reports, and product datasheets.

Required Skills:

1) Strong knowledge of refractory and ceramic materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes

2) Proficiency in material testing methods (thermal shock resistance, CCS, PLC, porosity, etc.)

3) Hands-on experience with kilns, presses, mixers, and other ceramic processing equipment

4) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

5) Familiarity with ISO/QA systems and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment

Preferred:

- Experience in monolithics, shaped refractories, or insulating materials

- Exposure to steel/ cement industry refractory requirements

- Knowledge of CAD or simulation tools related to thermal design (desirable but not mandatory)
