CG Power and Industrial Solutions - Safety Manager (6-8 yrs)

Key Result Areas :

1) Look after all unsafe conditions and unsafe act inside plant premises by plant round / inspection and create safety awareness amongst all employees to do their job safely.

2) Constitute safety committee for ATPS plant and conduct safety committee meeting regularly with all safety committee members from different department.

3) Prepare MoM for safety committee meeting, Accident/ incident / near miss reporting and investigation and analysis to suggest control measures to avoid re - occurrence.

4) Conduct different in - house and external training programme regularly for GMDC employees as well as contract workmen ( ex: - Induction training, job safety training, Fire extinguisher training, On-site emergency plan briefing, Different work related hazards and control measures(SoP- s) training).

5) Arrange different promotional activity like safety week celebration & fire service week celebration.

6) Effective implementation and monitoring of work permit system for work at height; hot work, confined space, line clear (electrical safety) and other special work permits.

7) Procurement of all fire-fighting equipments and safety PPE's as per relevant standards.

8) Compliance to the statutory requirement of Factory Act 1948.

a) Submission of reportable / fatal accident to factory Inspector.

b) Conducting Fire & safety audit for our ATPS plant and comply the recommendations given by the external third party.

c) Prepared on- site emergency plan for our ATPS plant and conducting rehearsal of the same (Mock drill).

d) Outsourcing work of Testing, Examination, Inspection and Certification of lift, lifting tools tackles / equipments and Pressure Vessels in form No. 09, 10, and 11.

e) Maintaining Register containing particulars of monitoring of working environment required under section 7-A (2) (E) in form no. 37.

9) Prepare the monthly status report of entire Fire & safety activity like number of fire incident, Major safety violation, Accident/incident/Near miss report, Dangerous occurrence, major unsafe conditions and present to management for necessary corrective actions and also ensure the implementation level of safety work permit system.

10) Imparting of fire training to plant employee use of fire extinguisher on small fire, fire-fighting, importance of fire prevention & protection measure.

11) To ensure the maintenance of fire equipments & periodical testing as per routine.

12) General administration in fire department like management of shift/ Allocation of duty/ leaves records Upkeep etc.
