Job Description :

Position Summary : Responsible for the day to day operation of the Tool manufacturing to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance with corporate objectives, strategies, and plans. Develop a team of managers with operational responsibilities to ensure the organization achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.

Specific Responsibilities :

- Should have exposure to handle Green field management program, setting up Tool Manufacturing Unit.

- Establish strategies for the tool development by considering project life and program requirements.

- Cost estimation & Pre-Budgeting of the molds & tooling equipments as per organization strategies.

- Proficiency in effectively leading EDM,CNC,Wire cut machine shop maintaining at machining tolerance ( +/- 0.0005" ) & tool Assembly section.

- Monitoring of micro level tool development schedule by having frequent reviews with internal team and external.

- Proficiency in leading DFMEA programe & addressing the tooling solution to the Product design team creating, the scope for VAVE in the manufacturing process.

- TGW / TGR report Generation & effective implementation in tooling program.

- Should have expertise in effective reduction of tool manufactring lead time, cycle time & Part weight.

- Pro active participation in Tool qualification and validation for critical tooling.

- Identifying and developing potential vendors/ suppliers local & overseas for achieving cost effective purchases of materials.

- Developing maintenance,Safety and operations procedures to increase the efficiency; implementing standards and ensuring adherence to quality standards IATF 16949,EMS 14001 & OHSAS 18001.

- Should have exposure to implement WCM practices, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM,VSM,Continual improvements.

- Expertise in implementing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in expenditures and work within the budget.

- Excellent reviewer, presentation skill at intra department, Plant, Management level for plant objectives, KPI,MRM,Tracker, project review & Audit complainces.

Qualification :

- Degree /Advance Diploma in tool & designing / NTTF / CIPET - (DPMT+PD-PMD) with 18+ years of experience in Tool Manufacturing Industry.

- Must have excellent organizational skills, and an understanding of Automotive methodologies & Quality standard.

- Experience in designing, developing & manufacturing of Injection mold.

- Knowledge of Autocad and ProE, Solidworks.

- Excellent reviewer of Mold design, MFA & developing the best mold design.

Management Skills : Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations,

Leadership Skills: Should Lead & motivate the workforce & imparting continuous on job training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness.

Problem-Solving Skills: Should be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving the problem.
