Position Manager - CNC Milling Section

Job Description :

Position Summary :

- An experienced Mold manufacturing professional well versed in latest CNC Milling techniques.

- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the CNC Milling section.

- Participate in Mold manufacturing reviews etc. to reduce machining time.

- Co-ordinate with internal departments.

- Ensure readiness of work-piece, Program, electrode etc. to reduce machine down-time and enhance unmanned machine.

- Cutter Management.

- Train and lead the team to achieve high level of Quality, machine utilization and safety consistently.

Specific Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of Supervisors and Operators in CNC Milling section to meet production targets

- Planning of machine loading as per plan and ensuring preparedness of inputs including program and electrodes

- Participate in Mold manufacturing reviews by giving suggestions to reduce machining time

- Inputs to CAM for reducing machining time

- Co-ordination with CAM and VMC section for availability of programs as per plan

- Hands-on experience on latest CNC Milling machines.

- Enhance unmanned machining

- Ensure availability of electrodes to EDM section as per plan

- Cutter management

- Should be conversant with EROWA or System 3R referencing systems

- Create and establish SOPs for all major operations in CNC Milling section

- Maintain traceability of Electrodes including all electrode inspection reports

- Implement continuous improvement culture in team by KAIZENs etc.

- Achieve high level of OEE

- Conduct Preventive and Predictive maintenance of machines as per plan

Qualifications :

- Degree/Diploma in Tooling with 8 - 12 years of experience in precision Tool Room

- Interpretation of prints, Geometric tolerances

- Knowledge on jigs and fixtures.

- Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAM platform

- Proficiency in CNC Milling technology

- Proficiency in 5 Axis machining will be an added advantage

Job Skills :

- Interpersonal Skills : Should be able to speak with employees, other department managers, and senior management

- Leadership Skills : Should Lead & motivate the workforce & imparting continuous on job training to the subordinates.

- Problem solving skill : Must be able to provide cost effective and durable solution to complex mold related problems.
