Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team with core responsibilities in works planning, scheduling, billing, and quantity surveying. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction workflows, cost estimation, and project documentation. This role requires coordination with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that project timelines and budgets are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules for construction projects in alignment with project timelines and client requirements.
- Monitor and update project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Conduct regular site visits to track progress, verify quantities, and ensure schedule adherence.
- Prepare and manage interim and final bills for subcontractors and clients in accordance with project contracts and actual work completed.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings and site measurements.
- Ensure accuracy in cost estimation, material usage, and budget forecasting.
- Collaborate with the project management team to identify and mitigate potential delays or cost overruns.
- Maintain and manage records of daily progress, quantities executed, and billing status.
- Review and verify contractor invoices, change orders, and variations.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and clients for approvals and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- 6-8 years of experience in planning, scheduling, billing, and quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, contract conditions, and billing procedures.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IS codes, CPWD/DSR schedule etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Experience in both residential and commercial/infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
