Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in project planning and billing to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, along with a proven track record in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation. As a Civil Engineer with planning and billing responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects within budgetary and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Scheduling : 

- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules in collaboration with project managers, considering all relevant factors such as resource availability, scope, and regulatory requirements.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting : 

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses. 

- Monitor project budgets and expenses throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Billing and Invoicing : 

- Generate invoices, track project costs, and manage billing processes in accordance with client agreements and project milestones. 

- Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.

Site Visits and Inspections : 

- Conduct regular site visits to assess construction progress, verify adherence to plans, and address any issues that may arise during the construction phase.

Technical Expertise : 

- Provide technical guidance and solutions to project teams, addressing engineering challenges, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.

Collaboration : 

- Collaborate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination, contributing to the smooth execution of projects.

Risk Management : 

- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project planning, scheduling, and billing. Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate these risks.

Reporting : 

- Generate clear and concise project status reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and financial aspects, and present these reports to relevant stakeholders.

Quality Assurance : 

- Ensure that all construction activities align with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Continuous Improvement : 

- Participate in lessons-learned sessions and contribute insights to improve project management processes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall project efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation within the construction industry.

- Familiarity with project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills to assess project feasibility, risks, and financial viability.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and client interactions.

- Detail-oriented approach to billing and cost tracking, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

- Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, regulations, and standards.

- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for project visualization and analysis.

- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
