CNC Machinist/Fitter, 6 months -3 yrs exp, Kalamaserry, Kochi

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining VMC machine, Lathe, and associated tools & accessories to produce high-quality precision parts and components according to specifications/drawings.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Program, prepare and operate VMC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, boring, sizing, milling etc.

- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings etc.

- Program the parts for machining using Fusion360 CAM software.

- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines

- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

- Assmble parts to create complex mechanical assemblies with both mechanical and electromechanical components.

- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Qualifications :

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification preferred.

- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer.

- Certification or training in CNC machining or related field

Essential Skills :

- Skill in operating VMC machinery (Fanuc) and tooling.

- Skill in using precision measurement tools.

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.

- Knowledge of CAM software - Fusion360 or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes.

- Knowledge of GD&T methods & procedures.

- Knowledge of jigs& fixtures.

- Strong DIY skills for prototyping using varied materials.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts or assemblies.

- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Adherence to safety protocols and practices.
