CNC Milling Programmer (6-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and validate CNC milling programs using Mastercam software.
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications to generate accurate tool paths.
- Plan and design fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support efficient machining operations.
- Prepare detailed setup sheets and documentation for machine operators.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining performance.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and safety procedures.
- Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle times and improve tool life.
- Train and mentor junior programmers or operators when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- 6- 10 years of hands-on experience in CNC Milling programming.
- Minimum 4- 5 years of experience using Mastercam for tool path generation.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, machines, and tooling.
- Ability to plan fixtures, jigs, cutting tools, and work-holding solutions.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings & GD&T.
- Knowledge of materials (metals, alloys, etc.) and machining characteristics.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
