Communications Technician - AgroTech (3-12 yrs)

Our Australian MNC AGROTECH client is looking to hire Communications Technician for their Commercial Operations team in India. It is a 25 year old Global Company, and has opened offices in various cities in India. This position is based out of Shahapur, Karnataka to start with and will need extensive travels especially around northern Karnataka region of Shahapur, Raichur, Narayanpur, Almatti.


Purpose :

The Communications Technician operates as a member of the Commercial operations team. This position involves the general responsibility of providing support and installation of all telemetry related products.

Key Relationships:

Internal:

- To interact with communication group and other departments within the company.

External:

- To interact with customers

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Provide field support expertise for customer radio systems

- Provide field support expertise for the company products and systems

- Provide technical expertise for the installation, implementation and commissioning of new radio systems

- Systems build, factory test and field commission for telemetry and gate projects

- Day to day involvement in the Communications group

- Provide support and maintenance to Company's Production facility

- Comply with OH&S legislation and operate in accordance with established OH&S practice and procedures

- Actively promote and contribute to a safe, secure environment for employees and visitors.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education/ Qualifications:

- Certificate in Radio/Electronics or 10+ years experience in the communications industry

- Driver's license required

Experience & Knowledge:

- 3 years with a certificate or 10+ years


- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to work in a team environment

- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills

- Knowledge of RF and SCADA systems - require skills in the installation, maintenance, fault finding of DC power and RF systems

- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while providing quality products

Skills/ Knowledge:

- Advocate of company's Code of Conduct and Values

- Sound working knowledge of OH&S and company Policy's

- Advocate for the Quality Management System and mindset of continuous Improvement
