Component Sourcing Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Component Sourcing Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, evaluating, and securing the best quality components at competitive prices to support our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery, and contributing to cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Conduct market research and identify potential suppliers for electronic components, raw materials, or other specified parts.

- Analyze supplier capabilities, pricing structures, quality control processes, and lead times.

- Develop and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to shortlisted suppliers.

- Evaluate and compare supplier responses based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical specifications.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve the most favorable outcomes for the company.

- Manage supplier relationships, fostering open communication and addressing any concerns.

- Participate in supplier audits and ensure ongoing quality compliance.

- Maintain accurate records of supplier data, pricing information, and contracts.

- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand component requirements.

- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and supplier consolidation.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sourcing processes.

- Bachelor &s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in component sourcing or procurement.

- Strong understanding of sourcing principles, negotiation techniques, and contract management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience in conducting market research and supplier evaluation.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferred).
