Roles and Responsibilities :

Lead Engineer - Electrical & PLC Controls (Automation Machines) Senior hands-on electrical and PLC controls lead responsible for electrical wiring and PLC programming, IO debugging, line bring-up, and leading electrical & control teams during machine assembly and commissioning.

Educational Qualification

- B.E / B.Tech /Diploma in: Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/Mechatronics with strong hands-on experience

Experience

- 3- 9 years of hands-on experience in: Electrical control systems/ PLC programming and debugging/ Machine commissioning and line bring-up

- Strong experience with Beckhoff PLCs (TwinCAT) is mandatory and ability to lead Mitsubishi and delta PLC internally and with suppliers for wiring and programming support

- Proven capability to lead electrical and control activities on the shop floor

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Lead electrical and PLC debugging activities for automated machines across assembly, trials, and ramp-up.

- Act as the technical owner for PLC logic, IO mapping, interlocks, and sequencing.

- Guide and mentor electrical technicians, control interns, and junior engineers.

- Develop, modify, and debug Beckhoff PLC programs (TwinCAT).

- Perform IO mapping, signal validation, and interlock debugging.

- Optimize PLC logic for reliability, safety, and cycle time.

- Support troubleshooting of field issues related to sensors, actuators, drives, and safety circuits.

- Lead machine line bring-up, dry runs, and trial builds.

- Coordinate with mechanical, pneumatic, and quality teams during commissioning.

- Resolve electrical and control-related issues during pilot builds and production ramp up.

- Oversee control panel wiring and field wiring activities.

- Ensure wiring is executed as per electrical schematics and standards.

- Support troubleshooting of wiring errors, noise issues, grounding, and IO faults.

- Provide inputs for design-for-manufacturing and design-for-debug improvements.

Skills & Technical Competency (Mandatory)

- Strong hands-on experience with:

- Beckhoff PLC (TwinCAT 2 / TwinCAT 3)

- EtherCAT IO configuration

- Digital & analog IO

- Good knowledge of:

- Sensors, actuators, solenoids

- Servo drives and VFDs (basic integration & debugging)

- Electrical control panels and field wiring

- Ability to read and interpret:

- Electrical schematics

- IO lists and interlock logic
