Job Title: Senior Manager / Lead - Cold Room Projects & Cold Chain Infrastructure

Location: Multi-site | On-ground + client locations

Reporting To: Business Head / Operations Head

Role Summary

- This is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and delivering multiple cold room and cold-chain infrastructure projects end-to-end. 

- The role demands strong execution leadership, deep technical understanding, and the ability to manage teams, vendors, and clients while ensuring strict adherence to timelines, cost, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program & Project Leadership

- Lead and deliver multiple cold room projects simultaneously

- Define project execution strategy, milestones, and resource planning

- Own project outcomes including TAT, CAPEX control, and quality

- Personally intervene in critical or escalated projects

2. Team & Execution Management

- Lead Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Coordinators

- Set accountability, review MIS, and track progress rigorously

- Drive an execution-first culture with zero tolerance for delays or poor quality

3. Technical & Design Ownership (Non-Negotiable)

- Independently read, review, and approve CAD drawings and layouts

- Strong understanding of GA drawings, refrigeration schematics, piping layouts, and electrical drawings

- Identify design gaps, clashes, and execution risks before site work begins

- Coordinate with consultants, CAD teams, and application engineers to finalize execution-ready drawings

- Ensure drawings reflect correct equipment placement, service clearances, airflow, and insulation requirements

- Review and validate as-built drawings

4. Vendor, Partner & Cost Control

- Finalize and govern vendors for PUF panels, refrigeration systems, electricals, civil and flooring

- Negotiate commercial terms and control project costs

- Monitor SLA adherence on quality, safety, response time, and documentation

5. Quality, Testing & Commissioning

- Oversee installation quality across all trades

- Lead testing, commissioning, and performance validation

- Ensure temperature stability, airflow balance, and energy efficiency

- Drive timely snag closure and final handover

6. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as senior SPOC for key clients

- Lead reviews, inspections, audits, and escalations

- Communicate risks proactively and ensure smooth handovers

7. Compliance & Audits

- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and cold-chain standards

- Support ISO, BRC, customer, and internal audits

- Standardize SOPs, checklists, and reporting formats

Experience & Qualifications

- 10- 15+ years experience in cold rooms / cold storage / HVAC / refrigeration projects

- Proven experience leading multi-site or large-scale projects

- Strong hands-on knowledge of rack refrigeration systems, condensing units, blast freezers, PUF panels, and insulation systems

- Engineering background (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
