Manager - Warehouse

Purpose of Role:

The Manager- Warehouse is responsible for overall smooth running of warehouse operations and inventory function.

Role Dimensions: - Needs to be contextualized for the roles

Knowledge & Application: Proficient in managing warehouse operations with experience in Inward / Outward movement of goods and Inventory Management in ecommerce / FMCG domain. Ability to efficiently manage inventory sanity and movement of goods within given costs and manpower targets and maximize warehouse throughput

Problem Solving: Ability to solve identified issues in managing inward / outward movement of good and inventory management to improve warehouse throughput and efficiency. Ensure adoption of best practices in warehouse and inventory management in alignment with stakeholders in Operations, Inventory, Sourcing and Technology teams..

Interaction: Ensure close coordination with other team members in warehouse, cluster operations, customer service and sourcing teams to ensure achievement of operational and business goals. Develop strong working relationships to enhance support from security and manpower vendors.

Accountability: Support day to day warehouse operations of 10-20K sq feet warehouse, manage about 10 days of inventory, inward and stock picking operations to achieve daily operational goals like OFD, Delivery Performance, Customer Rating etc using assigned resources well within cost and manpower targets.

Reporting and location: Incumbent will be reporting into the Cluster Manager- Operations and will be based out of Cluster Locations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Planning and Managing Warehouse Operations: Manage Day to Day planning and execution of warehouse operations including inward, inventory management and picking Operations as part of B2C operations team in line with standard operating procedures and organization policies.

In-warding and Inventory Management: Resourcefulness in managing optimum inventory, performing stock verification and documentation, identifying the inconsistencies, damaged/expired goods. Ensure Inventory management systems (IMS) is updated as per available physical inventory. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of damaged and expired inventory.

Cost Management: Manage warehouse manpower and inventory costs in line with business objectives. Identify scope for cost rationalization and execute cost management roadmap.

Team Management: Effectively manage teams of outsourced manpower directly and indirectly to achieve business objectives and business continuity. Working proactively with stakeholders to enhance manpower efficiencies and rationalize costs. Develop identified team members for taking up higher responsibilities and provide on the job training to the team.

MIS & Reporting: Publish accurate MIS reports and statistics in line with SOP as per agreed frequency. Keep track of Expected order volumes, available inventory, manpower availability and utilization, available delivery capacity and applicable costs.

Candidate Profile:

Required:

- 4-6 years of proven working experience as Assistant Manager / Inventory Manager / Warehouse Manager in eCommerce or FMCG Industry.

- Demonstrated expertise in warehouse management and operations excellence .

- Excellent track record in People Management

- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.

- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication skills in the local language, basic reading & writing skills in English.

- Should be hands on with advanced excel. Must have experience working with ERP and WMS systems.
