Job Description :

We are looking for a Deputy to the Corporate Group Safety Head for a leading Chemical Manufacturing company based at Chennai.

- The Role is to assist the Corporate Safety Head in monitoring and implementing safety requirements to improve the safety performance of the group and is expected to carry out the following responsibilities :

- To Assist the corporate safety head in implementing Safety related matters.

- Regularly visit the units and monitor the implementation of safety related requirements.

- To support the safety officers and safety co ordinators in their functioning

- To take care of documentation related to Safety

- To impart training for senior staff and to coordinate the Safety training programs.

- To follow-up with the safety related pending jobs in the units

- Identify the areas for improvement and follow up with necessary actions

- To develop safety manuals, standards and guidelines

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 10-15 years experience in industry with atleast 10 years as Head of safety function in a manufacturing industry. Prior handling of chemical manufacturing plant is must

- Work experience in corporate safety function along with Operational experience in chemical plants and Safety management of engineering units is highly preferred.
