Location: Cambodia (Southeast Asian Country)

Experience: 8 - 10 Years (Minimum 5 Years in Underground preferably in Gold Mining)

Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering

Certification: Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (Unrestricted)

Job Summary:

We are hiring for an experienced and dynamic Deputy Manager (Mining) to oversee underground mining operations in a Gold Mining project. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Mine Manager's Certificate (Unrestricted) and demonstrate expertise in cut & fill stopping methods. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and productive underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage daily underground mining activities, ensuring safe execution of stopping, development, and support operations.

- Plan, schedule, and monitor production targets using cut & fill stopping techniques for ore extraction.

- Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety protocols, and statutory reporting requirements.

- Coordinate with geology, survey, ventilation, and support services to optimize ore recovery and mine stability.

- Lead and mentor shift engineers, mining foremen, and operators to maintain high operational standards.

- Implement and monitor cost-effective practices and productivity enhancement measures.

- Ensure effective use of mining equipment and adherence to planned maintenance schedules.

- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports related to production, safety, and manpower.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong technical knowledge of underground mining, especially in cut & fill stopping operations.

- Sound understanding of mine planning, safety regulations, and statutory requirements under DGMS.

- Leadership and team management capabilities in a high-risk environment.

- Proficiency in using mine design software and productivity analysis tools.

- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.

- Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination.
