Deputy Manager - Process Engineer - Aerospace (6-12 yrs)
Worked in Aerospace domain.
Experience : Minimum 6 years of experience in process engineering.
Knowledge :
- Technically strong in Process Planning for machining and sheet metal components.
- Has strong knowledge of manufacturing processes like Routing, Forming, Machining, Assembly process, Heat treatment, Special process like TSA, primer & topcoat, NDT etc.
- Knowledge on interpretation of Airbus drawings, BOM and Specifications.
- Has good knowledge in configuration management, Feasibility study, Specification gap analysis, PFD, PFMEA, Stage drawing & Control plan.
- In depth Knowledge of GD & T.
- Ensures robust process documentation like work instructions, SOP- s, & Process sheets.
- Anticipates potential defects or bottlenecks and prevents them before production.
- Knowledge of cutting tools & raw materials being used in aerospace.
- Assembly process knowledge of Rivet installation, bearing assembly, EBT, Sealant application, Alodine touch up.
- Knowledge in Jigs and Fixtures, Sheet Metal Tooling.
- Uses Lean & Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste, reduce variation, and reduce cycle time, adapt nesting in process, RM and tool cost reduction, Setup time reduction.
- Knowledge in Poke Yoke/Mistake proofing, SMED, Lean principles.
- Knowledge of problem analysis methodologies (i.e. 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, DMAIC, etc.).
- Involved in Trouble shooting activities like Chattering, Pit marks, Corrosion issue, Warpage issues, etc.).
- Ensures first-time-right philosophy.
- Basic knowledge of designing & programming in Catia V5.
- Basic knowledge of G-codes & M-codes.
- Basic knowledge on SAP/Paragon.
- Measurable performance indicators/objectives of role :
- To meet the planned company objective of Process Engineer on monthly basis.
- Completion of all assigned process engineering activities in accordance with the committed dates.
