Job Description :

Position : Deputy Manager Purchase

Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience required : 6 to 8 years in purchase function in a motor manufacturing industry

Key Purpose of the Job :

I. To develop parts of LV motors meeting QCD

II. To establish quality system at supplier's place for critical raw material used in Low voltage motors

III. Continuous improvement of supplier processes to achieve better quality.

Key Responsibilities :

1) To achieve QCD targets related to LV motor parts development and procurement

a) Meet targets for QCD

b) Coordinate work with Supplier quality function to improve supplier quality

c) Documented process for investigating the root cause analysis

d) Arrive at optimum process variations based on design fundamentals

2) To implement quality system at suppliers place

a) Co-operate with supplier quality function for implementing systems at supplier

b) Define CTQ requirements/Process mapping and documentation

c) Documented process for investigating the root cause analysis

3) Continuous improvement of supplier's performance

a) Study and analyse drawings, specifications, documentation, etc provided by design team.

b) Automate data acquisition system, tracability and analyse data to find root causes of field failure

c) Implementation of supply chain systems (Kanban/lean systems)
