Design Engineer - Automotive (3-5 yrs)
- Product and design knowledge of - valves, actuators, etc. for OIL & GAS applications.

- Solid understanding of engineering mechanics, fluid flow, and pneumatics.
- Understanding of different materials and welding processes.
- FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), Product capability analysis.
- Knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and Adobe.
- Maintains confidentiality and has high ethical standards.
- Demonstrates a personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Fosters teamwork and collaboration within and across workgroups.
- Understanding of current process requirements, rules, and procedures.
- Ability to update and/or create procedures as required.
- Manage engineering change notice process.
- Maintain all product lines including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving product issues.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues in production.
- Create production drawings for products from 3D solid models or sketches with limited direction including the creation of 3D CAD Models. Strong understanding of MBD / MBE and experience in GD&T.
- Ensure that design changes to products comply with regulatory requirements (ex. NACE, API, UL, PED).
- Participate in or conduct design reviews, provide feedback, using appropriate tools, i.e., FMEA, analyses, field and lab testing.
- Participate in or conduct cost-out projects related to product design. Reduce the cost of the product by using the VAVE approach.
- Improve product quality and upgrade designs to meet customer requirements.
