Design Head - Electronics
Department - R&D
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and manage design and development of Electronics Product.
- Growing, and managing electronics engineering activities for products like Instrument Cluster, Regulator and Rectifier, CDI, Power Electronics and any Upcoming Electronics Product.
- Lead development Electronics in area of Hardware Design & Development.
- Represent and actively involved with Business Development and Program Management to win new business for electronics product.
- Understand the Customer's work requirement and project deliverables (Project time estimation, quality and commit delivery dates).
- Prepare and review project proposals, feasibility studies, benefits analysis for such opportunities.
- Understand and provide technical requirements to hardware design & development engineers.
- Conduct Design Reviews with Cross Functional team like Program Management, Software, Mechanical, Quality & Manufacturing Team.
- Lead design reviews with Customer and provide solutions to team.
- Establish technology roadmap for all Electronics Product.
- Work actively with supply chain managemenet team for componenet development.
- Managing resource ramp up, travel & project expenses.
- Set up processes & checks to ensure deliverable on time and in quality.
- Conducting goal setting and performance appraisals, mentoring employees; motivating employees; participate in recruitment, guide and train team members on processes and Policies.
- Review processes within the function periodically; Identify and prioritize process improvement .
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S) : B.E(Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S) :
- 18 to 20 years in automotive product design and development with Product background of Auto Electrical, Plastic Automotive Product, Instrument Cluster,BCM, Injection Controls - CDI/TCI,EFI, Regulatory Rectifier.
- Expertise in micro-controller hardware design
- Expertise of Electronics Circuit analog & digital, Trouble shooting of electronics circuit, AC/DC power supply and DC convertor, APSPICE
- Knowledge Embedded Programming languages
- Tools used for debugging and analysis: ETAS Labcar, ETAS INCA, CanAnalyser
- Knowledge of PCB panel, PCB type, Surface Mount Devices, PCB design, EMI/EMC, electronics test and easuring equipments.
- Automotive Communication Protocols : CAN /LIN/KLINE
