Design Head - Mechanical (10-12 yrs)

Organization : Induss Food and Equipment Ltd.

Responsibilities :

a. New Development Drawing :

- Preparation of the concept design (like the bolted dryer, Uni-directional fan, etc.).

- Incorporating new equipment.

- Discussion with vendors & customers.

- Doing the manual & Staad calculation of new design.

b. Standard BOM & Drawing Preservation

- Keeping the changed parts in all the BOM in Excel & SAP.

- Incorporate the change design in all the standard BOM in all the models (Like 2T, 32 T, etc.) & updating the cost.

- Preparing the model-wise drawings & circulating the same.

c. Support : Sales & Marketing

- Designing of material flow.

- Matching the customer's available area & existing equipment's.

- Providing the layouts for the associated equipment's like boiler, milling, paddy cleaners, etc.

d. Support : Project Execution

- For nonstandard plant designing the beams, columns, etc.

- Manual calculation of each equipment's for tph & power (elevator, screw conveyor, belt conveyor, etc).

- Some special equipment's to suit the flow (like damper, stair, paddy bin, etc).

- Listing of all the equipment's as per project requirements

- Uploading the same in sap.

- Providing drawings - specific to the project.

e. Support : Production

- Explanation of drawing.

- Providing standards & project-wise drawing.

- Activity support like - alternate design for ease of production, scrap reduction, sheet nesting, etc.

- SAP Support.

f. Support : Erection

- Explanation of drawing.

- Providing standard & project-wise erection drawing.

- Sometimes joint inspection.

- Site dimension taking.

- In case of site issues - visit the site for a solution.

g. Manpower Development

- Allocation of jobs among team members.

- Explaining & enabling them to do the job independently soon.

- Keep them motivating & engaged with more challenging new jobs.

- Making them ready for next-generation takeover.

Requirements : 


Education and Experience :

- BE/B.tech-Mechanical

- 10-12 years of experience

- Well versed with SAP (SAP B1 preferable)

- Knowledge of Structural Design-Standard/Non-Standard

- Design Tool-Auto CAD, Autodesk Inventor, Staad, Solid Work
