Development Engineer - Motor Development (4-5 yrs)
You will handle the following tasks :
- Development of electric motors for AC / DC / EC applications
- Technical support of suppliers for electric motors and motor components
- Identification of requirements of electric motors in close collaboration with the product team
- Simulation and calculation of the electromagnetic circuits for battery-powered and mains-operated applications
- Support product development teams in all motor related aspects to keep timeline, costs, quality and technical requirements
- Expert and responsible for the evaluation and documentation of measurements on motor components, assemblies as well as interfaces between the electric motor and products
- Specialist for all electric motors and components
You will have the following profile :
- A graduate of electrotechnology or mechatronics
- Well-founded, analytical knowledge of the electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal aspects of the development of electric motors
- Experiences in electric motor manufacturing processes and motor component testing
- Good knowledge of FEM, confident knowledge of Maxwell 2D or comparable software
- Experience in the design of drivelines
- Knowledge of the stage-gate development process
