DGM - Procurement & Supply Chain Management (15-25 yrs)
Roles: we required only from railways
- Proficiency in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, and determining vendor need
- Exposure to liaison with Government officials including top officials of Indian Railway (CORE Allahabad & RVNL), DFCCIL, Metro, RITES (Electrical Wing as well as Inspection Wing), IRCON, State Electricity Boards, Power Grid, NTPC etc.
- Strong team leader and player.
- Team handling player.
- Role of Handling Procurement & Supply Chain Management of Projects under execution. CIVIL, Electrical and Signalling & Telecommunication Projects.
- Key role in Strategic Purchase and Pre-Bid tie-ups of high value items namely 220KV / 132KV Traction Transformers & all other Sub-station equipment, Steel Structures, Copper Conductors, Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Items for Railway Electrification, Power & Signalling Cables, Cement & Steel (TMT).
- Market Intelligence and keeping track of the price levels in the market.
- Responsible for raising enquiries to the vendors, getting the offers, preparing the comparative sheet, technical scrutiny, freezing the commercial terms, price negotiations and then finalizing the order, order acceptance, following-up for the inspection and dispatches of the material, payment to the vendor, facilitate to realize the payment from our Client.
- Visit at the premises of the suppliers to develop strategic long term business relationship, expedite supplies, understand their problems, share our problems etc.
- To achieve sales target set out by management
- Identify and develop new buyers/potential clients
- Promote new products to existing and new buyers / clients
- Do Cold calling and meet the client
- Follow up with existing clients for repeat orders
- Daily tracking and order fulfillment
- To resolve client conflicts whenever applicable
- Coordinate with internal sales and organisations culture
- Maintaining strong client relationship and high level of vendor service
