Director - Design & Development - Civil/Construction (10-18 yrs)
- Our client is a conglomerate having business in various sectors including Real Estate. They have delivered both residential and commercial projects in Noida, Delhi and Aligarh. Company is into growing phase and thus need Design and Development Director to take their vision forward.
- They are looking for an excellent Design Development Director who is well-versed with all design and construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best development results.
- The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
- The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Responsibilities :
- Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion
- Prepare project plans, schedules and design and development specifications
- Manage budgets, timelines and quality of projects during all stages of construction
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiate agreement terms with external vendors
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Responsible for successful handling over of the project to the end customers
Requirements :
- 10 + years of proven experience as Design Development manager
- An Engineer (Civil) / Architect by qualification
- In-depth understanding of both design and construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good inter-personal skills and leadership abilities
