ROLE SUMMARY

He will be responsible for leading the team handling portfolio of projects in power sector with focus on government entities in generation, transmission and distribution.

The person is expected to

- Expected to lead a team of 7-10 in developing and executing Company assignments in the power sector utilities (generation and transmission and distribution).

- Generate business by developing client relationships with utilities and Government, identify / generate leads, make effective pitches, write effective proposals, etc. in his/her area of domain strength.

- Oversee various project modules and guide in completing assignments and ensure assignment quality, timelines, profitability of execution, client satisfaction/relationship and team morale.

- Building transactional and non-transactional relationship with senior Government officials at Center as well as selected identified states.

- Responsible for billing, collections and assignments profitability

- Contribute to outreach activities by writing articles, in-house research, deliver presentations in seminars/conferences, especially on power sector and third generation distribution reform.

- Understand changing customer needs and come out with suggestions in terms of identification of new -concepts/products/tools/services relevant to the market and support development of new product offerings.

- Act as depository of skills/knowledge and share knowledge and develop execution capacity in the identified domain area(s) to ensure that business stays current on market insights and has capability to scale up execution in the identified domain area(s) (this will entail nurturing talent and mentoring other team members)

- Essential Qualification Professionally qualified i.e. BE. B.Tech or others with MBA or CA

- Experience 10 - 15 years of overall experience, including a significant stint in energy infrastructure Company (at least 5 years).

- He/ she should have successfully led large multi-year and prestigious mandates in the areas of energy transmission and distribution.

- Should have experience in interacting and dealing with senior-level functionaries of policy makers, regulators, government agencies, multilateral agencies, and private infrastructure players

High energy levels in multi-tasking across engagements or

- Organizational initiatives.

- Strong client relationship development and management skills

- Ability to identify business opportunity and convert it into a mandate

- Strong project conceptualization, planning and analytical skills

- Strong team and client management capabilities

- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
