Job Description :

- Excellent opportunity for Dispatch Officer with one of the leading chemical manufacturing company at Mundra Location

- Purpose : The purpose of this position is to ensure the timely and correct dispatch of finished goods with respect to labelling, destination and statutory documents.

Responsibility

- Ensure timely dispatch of both domestic and export finished products to the customers in coordination with the Production, QC and Marketing departments with the correct labels and documents

- Attend to customer complaints received through the Marketing department on incorrect/absence of labels, inappropriate/absence of documents, leakages etc. Also investigate the matter to find out the root cause and take corrective action & put preventive measures in place

- Prioritise dispatches, plan routes and allocate manpower on urgent/last moment consignments

- Coordinate with the Marketing department on PO, road permit and customer related issues and mail them the quotes for transport vehicles

- Obtain quotes from vendors on predetermined routes and accordingly arrange for transport of goods

- Refer to the checklist prior to dispatch and ensure the consignments compliance to the set norms

- Ensure that statutory documents such as excise documents invoices, ARE 1 & 3 are properly prepared as per the excise norms for each consignment

- Train workmen in the safe handling of consignment, labelling of containers and storage

- Review sales orders with respect to destination, dispatch date, delivery date, applicable taxes and duties

- Track vehicles after dispatch

- Give direct instructions to contract workers relating to loading & unloading of consignments

- Prepare invoice for export, domestic goods and scrap

Qualification : - Any Graduates + Diploma in Materials management

Year of experience -3 to 7 Years
