Job role: Electric vehicle design Integration

Relevant Experience 4 to 10 years

Location: Pune

Educational Qualifications: B.E/ B Tech or M tech from Premium Institute (Must).

- Responsible for Electrical vehicle and Hybrid vehicle System architecture design & specification finalization.

- Mechanical design and packaging of vehicle components to meet system and vehicle requirements while optimizing for efficiency, cost, weight, manufacturability and serviceability.

- Support vehicle programs through the entire life cycle including; design, prototype builds, vehicle test and production. - Design system to meet system level and part level homologation requirements.

- Conduct design reviews & evaluate DFMEA on critical systems or components when necessary.

- Plan & track the component availability as per vehicle schedule.

- Costing of overall system & generating VAVE ideas.

- Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan

- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.

- Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.

Competencies: Technical/ Functional-

- Domain Knowledge of electrical vehicle & different HEV's .

- Knowledge of hybrid vehicle powertrain including interface with major components.

- Domain Knowledge of electrical & hybrid vehicle control strategies.

- Well versed with EV & HEV standards & Homologation requirements.

- Thorough in basic theories and design concepts of different electronics and electrical components used in EV & HEV.

- Knowledge of vehicle harness design, wire size selection, high power connectors & vehicle electrical insulation requirements etc.

- Knowledge of Li batteries, BMS system & chargers.

- Understanding of EMC/EMI impacts on system design.

- Experience in vehicle instrumentation and data analysis.

- Desired knowledge in automotive networking (e.g. CAN,) standards.

- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools.

- Software skills : Matlab, C,C++, 3D modelling tool (UG NX preferred)
