Electrical Automation Engineer - HMI (3-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Automation System Design : 


- Design and develop electrical automation systems and controls for industrial processes, machinery, and manufacturing equipment.

PLC Programming : 


- Develop and maintain Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to automate and control processes efficiently. Troubleshoot PLC-related issues.

HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Development : 


- Design user-friendly HMI interfaces for operators to monitor and control automation systems.

Sensor Integration : 


- Select, install, and calibrate various sensors, transducers, and instruments to gather data and provide feedback for control systems.

Electrical Panel Design : 


- Oversee the construction of electrical control panels, ensuring they comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Networking and Communication : 


Establish communication protocols between different devices, controllers, and systems, including Ethernet, Modbus, OPC, RS232, RS-485, and Profi bus.

IoT Connectivity : 


- Implement communication with Cloud IoT services like MQTT, Greengrass, Edge gateway, Ignition, and Kep Server.

Testing and Commissioning : 


- Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet performance specifications.

Documentation : 


- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system manuals.

Troubleshooting : 


- Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues, both in the design phase and during system operation.

Maintenance and Upgrades : 


- Perform routine maintenance and recommend system upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance : 


- Ensure that all automation systems adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.

Collaboration : 


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate automation solutions into larger projects.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or a related field.

- 3-8 years of experience in electrical automation system design and implementation.

- Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB).

- Familiarity with industrial sensors, actuators, and control devices.

- Strong understanding of electrical and control system design principles.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, UL-508).

- Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols.

- Experience with electrical switchgear and control instruments.

- Experience with motor control using starters and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
