Electronic Hardware Design Engineer - ePowertrain (2-6 yrs)
Job Summary
We are hiring an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer with experience in power electronics and EV applications. The role involves design, testing, validation, and debugging of hardware systems related to E-Powertrain components such as DC-DC converters and onboard chargers.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, E&TC, or related engineering field
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop DC-DC converters, onboard charger (OBC) systems, gate-driver circuits, and protection/sensing circuits
- Perform hardware testing and validation at board, subsystem, and system levels
- Execute electrical, thermal, functional, and endurance validation as part of DVP activities
- Support power-stage bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis
- Assist in EMI/EMC pre-compliance activities
- Conduct PCB design reviews and support component selection
- Collaborate with firmware, validation, and manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness
Required Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and components
- Experience with DC-DC converters, OBC systems, and gate drivers
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, LCR meters, and similar lab equipment
- Experience with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, or PSIM
- Exposure to PCB design or review using tools like Altium, Eagle, or equivalent
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and DFMEA
- Understanding of robust PCB layout practices
Preferred Experience
- Experience in EV or automotive power electronics domain
- Experience in benchmarking hardware and validating protection behavior

- Problem-solving mindset with hands-on approach to testing and debugging
